Convent
Today Ma'am Malou D. Catedral, one of my co-teachers at the Physics Division, entered the Carmelite Missionaries.
I heard that she would be entering the convent several months ago. Back then I thought she would finish her master's degree in materials science and engineering, then become a nun.
When she told me that she will not be finishing her degree at all, a verse came to mind: "Whoever wishes to be My disciple must forget everything, take up his cross and follow me."
She had sacrificed the possibility of a high - paying job in entering the convent. I pray she would hold fast onto her vocation.
As much as we would miss her, I am happy for her and her choice to give up everything to follow the Lord. I also can't help but thinking whether this would be the path I would be called to take in the future.
